Macau Convention Centre
Project Description
Located on a spectacular water front site, the six level building comprising restaurants, cafes, a convention centre, a 500 seat live theatre and retail centre. It is located on a 13,000m2 site on the edge of the Pearl River in Macau.
Extensive plazas and boardwalks include water features and fountains, sculptures, a children’s playground including a carousel, an outside performance area and a giant video wall.
The forms of the centre are dramatic with the urban design principles of Nam Van Lakes, and the surrounding new waterfront development, being respected and articulated.
The building is curved, the ground floor promenades, cafes, and restaurants open onto open plazas and courtyards. Materials used are stainless steel, zinc, aluminum, glass, marble and granite, with extensive paved and landscaped areas.
