Project Description

The Imperial Building and Everybody's Building were in disparate ownership and in disrepair. The project involved assisting the client with the amalgamation of titles and ownership prior to the upgrade of the existing buildings.

The design incorporates the re-invigoration of the historic Queen Street facades, restoring architectural elements with new colour schemes and a seismic upgrade. The design added new and distinctive canopies, and the high quality retail facilities to the revitalised the lower Queen Street retail precinct.

The existing interior spaces were stripped out of old and antiquated services and re-defined, starting from the Ground Floor Entry Lobby with a restrained palette of materials that enabled the existing nuances of the building interiors to be revealed suitable for future in habitation by tenants.

Feature lighting was designed and installed to enliven and enhance the architectural elements on each façade, enabling the heritage details to be appreciated.
